Welcome to InPsync. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by InPsync Pty Ltd ABN 79 679 563 056 (“InPsync”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.


  1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

    We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which govern how we handle personal and sensitive information.


  2. Information We Collect

    We collect the following types of information:

    Personal Information
    • Name and contact details (email, phone number)

    • Demographic information (age, gender identity)

    • Account preferences and interactions with the Platform

    Sensitive Information
    • Health-related information (e.g. mental health concerns or therapy preferences)

    • Responses to questionnaires used for compatibility matching

    We only collect sensitive information with your consent, which you provide by submitting it through our Platform.

    Automatically Collected Information
    • IP address, device type, browser, location, and usage data

    • Interaction logs (e.g. page views, clicks, time spent)

    Matching Quiz Responses

    If you complete our personality quiz, your responses are stored securely and used solely to improve therapist-client compatibility matching. These results are never visible to anyone else unless you explicitly choose to share them.



  3. How We Use Your Information

    We collect and use your information to:

    • Provide and personalise therapist-client matching

    • Allow therapists to create, manage, and display public profiles

    • Communicate with you (e.g. emails, notifications, support)

    • Improve the performance and functionality of the Platform

    • Conduct user research and internal analytics

    • Comply with legal obligations

    We do not use your information to make automated decisions without human oversight, nor do we sell your data to third parties.

    Therapist Profile Content

    If you are a Therapist, your public-facing content (such as your name, qualifications, photo, bio, session type, therapy style, etc) is used to create and display your professional profile on the Platform. We may also use this content in marketing or promotional material in accordance with our Terms of Use. This content is not considered “sensitive information” under Australian privacy law but will be treated with care and not altered in a way that misrepresents you.



  4. How We Share Your Information

    We may share your information:

    • With therapists you choose to view or contact (clients only)

    • With our trusted third-party service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics, customer support), who are bound by confidentiality obligations

    • If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of InPsync or its users

    We do not share your personal or sensitive information with advertisers.


  5. Data Storage and Security

    We store your information on secure servers and use industry-standard security measures to protect it, including:

    • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

    • Role-based access controls and authentication

    • Routine security audits and vulnerability management

    Your data is primarily stored on servers located in Australia. However, some data may be stored or processed by trusted service providers in other countries. In such cases, we take reasonable steps to ensure that those providers comply with Australian privacy laws and that your information remains protected.


    While we take all reasonable steps to secure your data, no system is completely immune from risk. If we suspect a data breach involving your personal information, we will act in accordance with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.


  6. Data Retention

    We retain personal and sensitive information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

    • Provide services

    • Meet legal and contractual obligations

    • Resolve disputes or enforce agreements

    You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7), and we will comply unless we are required to retain it by law.

    You have the right to:

    • Access the personal information we hold about you

    • Request corrections to inaccurate information

    • Withdraw consent to the use of your sensitive data (where applicable)

    • Request deletion of your personal information

  8. Use of Cookies and Analytics

    We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyse traffic, and understand user behaviour. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the Platform’s functionality.



  9. Third-Party Services

    The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g. therapists’ personal websites, external assessments, analytics providers). These third parties are not controlled by InPsync and are responsible for their own privacy practices.


    We may also use trusted third-party tools and platforms—such as analytics engines, cloud storage services, and infrastructure providers—to help deliver, maintain, and improve the Platform. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your personal information and must comply with relevant privacy and data protection laws.


    We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you engage with via the Platform.


  10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
